Our Story
Driven to unearth the unique flavours of his natural surroundings, Chef Jack Madden has honed his craft over the course of the last two decades.
His culinary journey began unexpectedly while studying environmental engineering, and quickly transformed into a passion.
From apprenticeships under celebrated chefs like Russell Armstrong and Geoff Lindsay to helming acclaimed restaurants in Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast, Madden's dedication to crafting exceptional dining experiences is evident in every dish.
His culinary prowess is showcased at BASK, where he was awarded an Australian Good Food Guide Chef’s Hat amid widespread acclaim throughout the country, in recognition of his innovative and seasonally driven cuisine.
Co-owned and operated with his interior designer wife, Jess Coolican, Jess brings her exemplary design talents to the restaurant’s aesthetic, crafting a welcoming and sophisticated contemporary space.
